Never received item to review but the Turkey Davinci Dog food is great!

Davinci Dog 100C Hypoallergenic Fresh Salmon

I've been gradually introducing this to my 6 year old furbaby (mixed in with her regular kibble). I'm assuming it tastes delicious because she has been pushing her regular kibble out of the dish and only eating this Davinci food! She is a smaller sized JackRat terrier and a very picky eater. But she's loving this kibble.I noticed how fresh it smells when I first opened the resealable bag.The first ingredient listed is salmon and that definitely caught my attention. It could also be why she loves it so much. She's a huge fan of salmon.Due to her breed she does have sensitive skin and a sensitive tummy. But I've already noticed a decrease in her itchiness and she hasn't gotten an upset stomach from this either.Definitely a better kibble from what I've seen.

Dog Approved!

Our pup is about 7 years old and starting to show his age a bit. We usually feed him Kirkland brand adult food, but I wanted to mix things up and give him some variety in his diet. After dinner, we offered him a few pieces of the DaVinci dog food as treats, and he gobbled them right up.To really test it, we held the DaVinci food in one hand and his usual brand in the other. After sniffing both, he chose the DaVinci. We swapped hands and tried again—same result! He consistently went for the DaVinci every time.It feels great knowing we’re giving him clean, healthy ingredients from a company that truly understands how important our pets are. We’re excited to pick up our next bag!

My pets love this stuff all natural smell so fishy they love it

Good ingredients - small sized kibble - not manufactured overseas - but my dogs won't eat it

I like that this dog food isn't made overseas, has high-quality ingredients, and the size of the kibble is small - however, my dogs won't eat it. One of them took a few nibbles (they are pretty finicky though). I've offered it to them along with their current dog food for the past 5 days, and they haven't touched it.

A healthy and evidently tasty dog kibble.

I feed my little dog, Zoe, a raw diet as her main meal, but I always keep a bowl of kibble available in case she gets hungry. It is essential to me that anything Zoe eats is healthy, free of unnecessary additives and chemicals, as we want her to live a long, healthy life.Zoe has never been a huge fan of kibble; the bowl usually sits untouched for days. However, she seems to prefer this Davinci Dog LID Turkey Recipe over the kibble I previously bought at the pet store. In fact, since I started using the Davinci Dog LID Turkey Recipe a week ago, I've noticed her kibble bowl has been empty three times. This is quite unusual, considering she is still eating her regular raw food diet.I appreciate that this kibble uses 100% Canadian-Sourced Ingredients and has a limited ingredient list. The ingredients are healthy and, apparently, quite tasty! It is definitely "Zoe Approved"!

Excellent As a Complete Meal or Supplemental Topper

My old 14 1/2 year mini Aussie has been struggling these past few weeks, and showing little interest in food, so I’ve been using this limited ingredient turkey recipe to entice her to eat without upsetting her sensitive digestive system. It’s is worth every penny we spend to have a little more time with our precious girl. We also have a nine month old pup we’re training for agility. She loves this premium kibble, and will gobble up the entire bag if given the chance, but for now she enjoys a handful at a time as a tasty topper. Whether feeding Davinci kibble as a complete balanced nutritious meal for my aged dog, or using it as a supplement for my pup, I feel confident that my dogs are eating safe, real food that gives them energy, shiny coats, and (easy to pick up) firm poops. My dogs are my family, and they deserve the best I can do for them.

My dogs love it. Good size for any breed.

Our dogs were getting excited before I even filled their bowls, and we have picky eaters. They are used to eating fresh meat and vegetables and don’t usually jump around waiting for dry food. Each of them scarfed their portions down quickly. Maybe it’s the euphoria of a new and unknown food, or maybe they really enjoy it compared to other dry foods. Either way, they’re happy, and I’m happy with the ingredients.Just wish it was a little cheaper, but that’s the price you pay for quality ingredients I guess.

Dog Likes It

My dog really likes it. I've been giving him fish skin treats to help with his skin rather than sketchy supplements, so this is another non-pill option. I like that this food is small pieces as well for my little pooch. I just mix a little bit in with his usual meal - not a total replacement, because no offense, never heard of your brand before got this trial. Also feel like it would be a bit much for full on. Also, my dog gets a mix of wet and dry for weight management anyway. BUT this is still something I really am liking mixing in a bit with his meals and he likes it, too.

Better Than Standard Kibble, Dog Loved the Taste

The Baked Salmon Dog Food by Davinci stood out because of its gently baked, low-heat preparation promising a less processed option than standard kibble. After testing it for several feedings with my poodle, here’s what I found:This is a dry, gently baked food that still handles like kibble but feels less processed, and I ordered it to find something more wholesome without the cost of freeze-dried meals. The kibble pieces are firm, low-odor, and uniform, and the bag lists ingredients like salmon, flaxseed, antioxidants, peas, and prebiotics. My dog showed immediate enthusiasm—enough to try counter surfing for the sample I took the picture of when I stepped away—which says a lot about the flavor appeal. In actual use, the food was easy for my dog to digest. He typically doesn’t have stomach issues, but this didn’t create any new ones, and the transition was smooth. I appreciated that the smell was mild and that it didn’t leave oily residue behind, which is common in some richer salmon formulas. It feels like a meaningful improvement over standard high-heat kibble, though it still isn’t as nutrient-dense as freeze-dried diets, so expectations should match that middle position. As for drawbacks, this is still a dry food with the same storage profile as kibble, and the inclusion of legumes may not suit every owner’s preferences. It’s not intended as a specialized or therapeutic diet, but as a gently baked, everyday option it performs well. Compared to grocery-store kibble, the texture and ingredient list feel more deliberate, while costing far less than air-dried or freeze-dried foods. This food is ideal for dog owners wanting a step above traditional kibble but not ready to commit to the price of raw or freeze-dried diets. Those avoiding legumes entirely or needing a vet-prescribed formulation may want to consider other options.

High-Quality Ingredients and Loved by My Dogs — But Definitely Pricey

Both my medium and large breed puppies absolutely love this food. I’ve been using it as a high-value training treat, and it’s one of the few kibbles that gets their full attention every single time. The limited ingredient formula really seems to agree with their stomachs — no upset digestion, soft stool, or itchy skin afterward, which is a big win in my house. The turkey-based recipe is clearly well thought out. I like that it uses a single protein source for allergy control, and the inclusion of L-carnitine, flaxseed, and blueberries adds a nice nutritional boost. The kibble size is perfect — small enough for easy chewing but not so tiny that it turns to dust in your hand. That said, the price is steep. I’d love to feed this daily, but it’s just not practical for larger dogs unless it’s on sale or used sparingly. If you have a small dog with sensitivities or want a top-tier treat or training reward, though, this is an excellent option.

This Is Part of a Diverse Diet For My 15 year old Dog

The media could not be loaded.

I’ve gotten over the sticker shock of a great dog food. It seems that really healthy ingredients do add up. And I LOVE that salmon is the first ingredient here. I appreciate the 30% protein here because that is what doggies were meant to run on - protein. But personally I believe they need more protein but it doesn’t have to be at a regular meal. I up the protein from this kibble with single ingredient, high protein snacks. For more diversity in their diet, I’m using this kibble once a day for our finicky eater. For her other meal, I am using another food that has more raw, dehydrated food in it. And additionally our 15 year old 35 pound doggie gets plenty of vegetables for snacks and table food as well. I believe this diverse diet has kept her going longer than most doggies and I want to have her as long as I can.I value that 99% of the ingredients are from Canada because that area is just more clean in most ways compared certainly to the city I live in!I did the math for you below on the second photo for those of you who would like it. This bag is 3.3 pounds. So, you look at the weight of your doggy and see how much food you would give to your dog per day if they are to receive just this food each day.Overall, I’m very happy with this food and as you can see she loves it!🥰

The new standard for healthy dog food

My 2 dogs (15lb terrier and 95lb labrador) tried this food for a week so far and they absolutely love it! I love that it's packed with all natural ingredients and that real meat was used as the number 1 ingredient as well as tons of natural animal fats and oils throughout the list along with tons of vitamins and minerals. It's all hypoallergenic so it's great for dogs with any kind of skin or tummy sensitivity. It comes in small, easy to eat pellets that dogs of any size can comfortably chew.Since being on the diet, my dogs coats have shown more luster and shine, and they have markedly more energy and stamina when going for walks or trips out to potty (which are regular now!). The added vitamins and proteins have been great for their muscles and bones, and I will definitely be continuing to use this diet for both of my dogs! Highly recommend!

Seems like good kibble

I am happy to recommend this, based on the ingredients, but you'll have to decide for yourself if it's a good value. Personally, I was underwhelmed, as I was kind of expecting each kibble to sparkle with gold flakes and to be wrapped in miniature bacon bows, but I admit this was an unreasonable expectation. These perform like you'd expect good, strong dry dogfood to perform -- and even my cat has been known to enjoy a few crunchy morsels. I'm not sure I prefer the velcro-like seal to the more typical ziplock. True, you don't have to be as exact with the strip, but you have to press extremely hard to get a good seal, and if you're not attentive you may find it didn't seal at all. I do like that the listing clearly shows the ingredients, and other helpful reviewers have photographed the missing parts of the back of the package, so you can be clear about what you're ordering.

Dog Approved

This is a good bag of dog food. The ingredients are clean, though I laugh at their claim of being "local". Unless you live in Canada, it's not local lol. But my dog approves of it and maybe it will help her sensitive tummy.

VERY EXPENSIVE KIBBLE STYLE FOOD

This dog food arrives in the typical dog food bag and that is encased in an extra outer clear plastic bag for shipping. The ingredients listed are nice and simple whole foods, and we appreciate that for our fur babies. We like that we can pronounce and recognize the ingredients. A couple were obscure but we looked them up to find that it was a vitamin or mineral of some sort.We love that this is made in North America rather than overseas like so many pet foods these days (that end up having recalls). We searched for any recalls on this brand and did not find any. My dog has a sensitive digestive system, and she did very well with a few pieces to start.Overall nice food with good ingredients. A bit pricey at $35.00 for 3.3 pounds.

Good dog food

Our 2 large pups took to this food right away. Way more than one ingredient but at least it did not make our dogs sick. Love the look of the bag and there is actually quite a bit in here for the size. In my head, I had it that it was a trial size and was surprised when I opened and saw a large bag.Small, hard and light brown pellets, I put 2 small handfuls mixed in with their cooked food just to see how they did. They lapped this up and then pathetically whined for more. It was so pathetically adorable! One of my favorite features is that this bag of food does not stink once opened. Does it smell delicious like a steak, no. But it does not reek either and that is huge for me.If needs be, I would totally get this again if offered.

All Our Pets Like The Taste

Okay, first things first—I thought I was ordering packaged salmon! I know, the product name says "Dry Dog Food," but I was still surprised when I re-reviewed my purchase. That's my mistake, but it felt worth a mention since the picture and product name is a little deceiving as the kibble is not the most prominent.Let's be honest, the price is high. I used this as a topper so as to not upset my pets stomachs. This is definitely a premium, top-shelf food, and you pay for it. I do appreciate the traceability and quality of the ingredients. The biggest success, though, is the palatability. My dogs love it, and even better, my three incredibly picky cats started trying to sneak bites! When all our pets liked it, including the cats, and seemed excited to be eating it, that’s always a win in my book. The ingredients must make a difference, as they devoured their bowls faster than ever before.

Pomsky will not eat this but ingredients look good

My dog is a 7 year old Pomsky. He insists on having variety in his meals, so I like to give him options. With that in mind I decided to give this a try. He eats wet food for his breakfast/dinner and hard kibble is out and available to him at all times.Unfortunately my dog would not touch this stuff. He likes chicken (I frequently use grilled chicken breasts as a topper on his food) and turkey (his current favorite kibble is an air dried turkey variety).I was hoping to incorporate this into his diet because the ingredient list looks so good. The ingredients seem well balanced and healthy for dogs..The kibble pieces are fairly small and should be easy for small dogs to eat. It comes in a plastic bag with a resealable opening. This food is expensive, but all of my dog’s food is expensive. I don’t mind paying more for healthy food for my dog, but he has to eat it. He just does not like this particular recipe.I can see the price being a deterrent for some pet owners though. Especially considering how much more it costs than other options on the market.

Pomsky approved

My 7 year old Pomsky pup has a very discriminating palette. I have a hard time finding kibble that he will tolerate. He demands variety in his meals, with that in mind we decided to give this a shot.He actually likes this salmon kibble. He ate an entire bowl full of this stuff, without a topper or me cajoling him to do so! That may not sound like much, but trust me, with this pup it is.He has a sensitive stomach and this food is gentle enough to not cause issue. My dog tried this brand’s turkey flavored kibble and refused to eat it. The salmon flavor was a yes for him though. The kibble pieces are very small. A tiny dog would have no trouble eating this. The bag has a resealable top, which is handy. The food is expensive. Most high quality dog food is expensive though. If it’s healthy and my dog actually eats it continually, I don’t mind paying a premium. His current brand of air dried kibble is $35 for 2.2 pounds. This is $35 for 3.3 pounds, so it’s actually less expensive than his current favorite. The ingredient list looks great. Simple and straightforward. Made from healthy Canadian ingredients.

Quality fish-based food should afford benefits for skin, joints, and general health, young & old

I will start with 5-stars based on the quality ingredients from Canada and the fact my elder pup scarfed it up (mixed with her regular food) for this first offering. I hope she continues to do so. She is at that advanced age where I am very careful what I feed her and do try to make sure she gets omega-3 for joints, which this fish-based food affords as well. For those dogs that are picky, I'm betting mixing this in with a variety of other healthy fresh food and dog food offerings will help them make the transition and make it more economical as well. The ingredients are high quality so the cost should prove worth it.

Approved by 4 out of four dogs

My dog's instantly loved this food and went straight for it. As far as hypoallergenic foods go this is a great value definitely a lower cost than many other brands but seems to be a much higher quality than a lot of foods out there. So far none of my dogs have had any digestive issues like diarrhea or vomiting and they're loving the food

Satisfied Pup

I am always concerned about the ingredients in the big box brand dog foods, recently heard about Davinci and decided to give it a shot. My puppers just finished her first bag of Davinci LID Turkey and we are both very satisfied with the product.I really enjoyed being able to look-up the batch code on the website to see exactly what ingredients were used and when it was made. My pup loved the taste, which is amazing given how picky she is with her food. Anything she doesn't like in her bowl, she'll carefully pick out and leave on the floor next to it. Not a problem with this food.Don't often leave reviews, but this time it was worth it. If you have a picky pup and are worried about what's going into their bowl, Davinci is worth a shot.

Chiweenie Approve

My 10 pound chiweenie goes NUTS for this food and I feel good about serving it to him. The first ingredient is deboned salmon and everything in it is all natural with no animal byproducts like most dog foods. I like that it’s in kibble form and the kibble is very small which is perfect for toy to medium breeds. It probably isn’t appropriate for larger dogs but no one’s buying a 3 pound bag of food for a big dog anyway. It is very pricey which is the only negative. I’m mixing it into his regular kibble which is also salmon based so it goes farther. He had stared turning his nose up at his regular food, but with this mixed in he gobbles it down.

Quality food, but not an affordable option

My dogs did not like this food any more or less than other dry dog foods I have purchased for them. It does have better ingredients and I appreciate that it has very little smell, but the price point is definitely prohibitive for me. This is currently priced at $10.60 per pound of food, and my two large dogs would need so much of this, I would go broke quickly. If they had special dietary needs, or if they really loved this food, I might consider getting it for them, but at this price, I will pass on it in the future. I only took off one star because others may not have the same financial restrictions I have and have no problem spending this much on pet food.Pros: less ingredients, better ingredients, low odor, resealable bagCons: price!
